As an Engineering Program Manager, I managed and completed designs for 16 rigiflex PCBs on the Vision Pro, Apple's first-generation spatial computing headset. I drove daily communication with cross-functional engineering teams and external vendors and problem-solved design, high-volume manufacturing, and supply chain issues. I can't say much, but some of my responsibilities included the following:
Project Management: Proactively planned and adapted build timelines for procurement, design, and fab. Result: 100% of PCBs arrived on time for validation.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Worked with product design, PCB, manufacturing, and electrical engineers to resolve cross-functional design issues. Collaborated with manufacturing and supply chain teams to analyze vendor schedules. Result: decreased lead times by >50%.
Vendor Management: Drove daily communication with two major, Asia-based PCB vendors and led several presentations and design reviews with company executives, engineers, and vendors as the prime technical contact.
Mass Production Manufacturing: Performed root cause analysis, analyzed processes for corner cases to ensure issues were fully resolved, and de-risked component testing. Result: valuable learnings were gained, and 100% of fabbed boards were used.
